Sebastian Díaz Morales

In the two works in the exhibition at Galerie Stadtpark, the Argentinian artist and filmmaker focuses on the relationship between mass and power. While the expansive projection of the film Thousands March places the viewer in a frog's-eye view and confronts them with an hour-long continuum of protesting people marching past, Díaz Morales' second film, also in close-up, shows the seemingly endless handshake of Argentine President Fernando de la Rúa at his inauguration in 1999.
