Imhof rose to world fame with her award-winning performance work Faust in the German Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale 2017. Also active as a painter, the versatile artist and musician recently released her second album on the Berlin electronics label PAN. In her video work Untitled (Wave), she confronts her collaborator and partner Eliza Douglas with a seemingly pointless task: Accompanied by a dramatic ambient drone, the performer whips the ocean. But the waves never cease, and all we hear is the rush of the water.
