ART & INSTALLATION
Multimedia artist Brandon Covington Sam-Sumana (also active as a musician under the name N-Prolenta) explores the metabolism of cultural systems. His video tfw drake trafficked you refers to the rap superstar Drake and his ambivalent incorporation of diverse Black Sound genres between grime and trap. The video acts as a “pre-emptive strike”, as cultural anticipation surveying a territory still untouched by Drake in the form of a battered baile funk track.
