Steve Bannon, the ex-advisor of Donald Trump, is now attempting to establish a network of right-wing populist powers in Europe as well. In his adaptation of the Rotterdam exhibition original from 2018 for donaufestival and museumkrems, the artist and propaganda researcher Jonas Staal takes ten documentary film-pamphlets made by the alt-right ideologist between 2004 and 2018 as his departure point. The model illustrates how Bannon’s artistic visions of a cyclical return of evil inform political transformations.
