With the band Battles he pushed rock music to its speed and complexity limits. The concerts remain unforgotten, how his left hand ripped splinter sharp tones from his guitar, while the right calmly provided accompaniment on the keyboard. Since 2010 Tyondai Braxton has primarily been working as a composer. Most recently, he presented the opera Telekinesis in London with a large orchestra, which was based on the manga epic Akira. At donaufestival he can be seen as a solo artist, performing pieces, on analogue synthesizers.
