In his short film Pasajes the Argentinian artist and filmmaker Sebastian Diaz Morales confronts viewers with a continuum of breaks, a sequence of recordings of diverse incommensurable spaces. The intention, however, is neither a critique of human appropriation of nature and landscape nor are these places presented as an escapist elsewhere. Instead the viewer is subjected to a subtle form of overload in which the perception and experience of space, place, and landscape advance to become the actual object of filmic observation.
