Been there, done that. In our present age without surprises Anna Vasof’s films put objects and actions in unusual relationships. Loophole is an absurd video theatre where we unlearn how to see and, as reward, cannot take our eyes off of it. Vasof’s films rip a hole in the rule book of the everyday with its automated user rituals and chronological processes. Something is wrong, strange, out of whack. The loops in Vasof’s videos are not repetitions; they lead processes on a detour.
