Amongst colleagues like Pharmakon, Frederikke Hoffmeier aka Puce Mary has established herself as one of the female post-industrial acts. Harsh noise, electro-acoustic composition, and horror effects from the musty attic of the Bates Motel serve the Dane as the departure point for her demonic soundscapes. The raw, shrill pulse and metallic drones filtered out of her synthesizers are spiked with manipulated field recordings and percussion elements. Her ghostly voice floats above the distorted sound like recitations of eternal perdition. Musical existentialism in doomsday garb.
