Influenced by early minimalists, the German musician and composer Orson Hentschel seems to be particularly fascinated by the aesthetic of the loop. He derives his sound material from different contexts, such as film or the Internet. He distorts and slices and dices them into repetitive short-cuts which are then infused with elements of glitch and trip hop. Soft nuances and precise phase shifts release flowing soundscapes billowing with euphoria. In his live set at donaufestival Hentschel will be accompanied by drummer Lukas Baumgart.
